Chris Jensen, Co-Founder/CEO

Chris has enjoyed a varied career both in the UK and Canada, working for multi-nationals and banks, starting several companies from scratch, and helping a local Vancouver domaining company to grow from 12 to 50 staff. He loves the fast paced, create – build – change – rebuild – celebrate atmosphere of web based technology companies. Chris has a lot of experience in raising capital for early stage companies and managing the team during the early stages. John Lyotier, Co-Founder/CMO

John is an entrepreneur and a successful marketer with more than 15 years of experience in promoting, launching, designing, and jumpstarting new businesses and products through innovative marketing concepts. John’s forte is to leverage technology and marketing automation to ensure that early-stage companies compete on equal footing to large, established companies. John also has a unique ability to identify market trends and help define product and business strategies to win in a turbulent or yet-to-be-defined space. John has launched several internet ventures and has worked with domain names and domain parking for several years. As one of the co-founders of the Left of the Dot, John is responsible for many of the product and marketing concepts that propel our domain properties onto the global stage. Xavier Buck, Director

Xavier Buck is the Founder, Executive Director, and CEO of the DCL Group, which is the umbrella organization of EuroDNS, voipGATE and the Datacenter Luxembourg. His current Directorships also include AsiaDNS, DomainTools, and eBrandServices. In 2008 he co-founded Domain Invest SA, a company which owns over 100,000 premium domains and has the support of several high profile investment firms.

Slavik Viner, Director

Slavik Viner has been involved in many areas of the Domain industry since the 1990’s and is widely regarded as one of the most successful Domainers of his generation.

Dean Gagnon, Business Advisor

An entrepreneur from a young age, Dean has spearheaded many business ventures and is a vocal and active supporter of small business and entrepreneurs. In 1999, Dean Gagnon co-founded MeZine Inc. and the CityMax.com easy website builder along. After taking a brief break from CityMax.com to work with internet marketing and domain monetization (where he first crossed paths with Chris and John), he returned to CityMax.com in November 2007 as President and Chief Evangelist. During his tenure he helped turn CityMax.com into an award-winning company that was consistently recognized as one of the best companies to work for in all of BC. It is his experience with growing early-stage Internet companies, along with the understanding about what it takes to build a world-class company that people want to work with, that he brings to Left of the Dot.

Frank Michlick, Technical Advisor

Frank Michlick, best known within the domain name industry as one of the founders and lead contributors for Domain Name News, began to work with Internet technology in 1993 and registered his first domain name in 1995. His company, CyberTeam, helped many big European brands build their first internet presence. From 1997 to 2000 he worked to shape one of the biggest German Internet Service/eBusiness providers. During his 5 years at the largest wholesale registrar (Tucows/OpenSRS) he enabled many domain name portfolio owners, registrars, hosting companies and resellers to better manage, monetize and grow their domain names. Most recently, Frank’s entrepreneurial pursuits led him to found DomainCocoon, which provides services in the areas of domain name management, custom registrar creation, and ICANN & ccTLD accreditation consulting. During Left of the Dot’s early days, Frank served as the company’s CTO, helping navigate the complexities of domain infrastructure and DNS administration while building the Left of the Dot Platform.
